In addition to being remote geographically, the accommodation features just a set of 11 rustically built timber and glass houses that are almost completely hidden from view behind Milkwood trees and their own camouflage. However, perhaps the best feature of this accommodations is that they get to enjoy the gentle sound of waves crashing against the shores. Even though it’s so remote from the city center, you can still go to all the main tourist attractions fairly easily through a 20 to 40 minutes drive. However, guests have been known to have been so entranced by the scenic beauty of the location that they hardly ever step out of their private slice of heaven. The accommodations have been created with tactile material that encourages guests to step out of their shoes and try experiencing the world barefoot. The service staff may be small compared to other chain hotels, however they’re dedicated and they work relentlessly towards fulfilling their guests’ wishes. MannaBay Fine Boutique Hotel is located on the top of Oranjezicht, which is a suburb located on the top of Table Mountain. Due to its heightened location, it’s ideal if you want to enjoy vast sweeping views of the city below. You can look out at the glittering lights of the city of Table Bay before you. Furthermore, the mountain with its winding slopes and treacherous roads lies just behind you if you’d like to embark on a mountain hike. The only drawback of this location is that it’s too remote for you to walk anywhere, however it takes about 5 minutes to drive over to the city center. Furthermore, if you’d like to explore some of the other attractions of the city, such as the waterfront, Clifton beaches, etc, you’d have to drive on for about 10 minutes. The exteriors of the resort may seem rather crude at first sight as they once belonged to a private house, however once you enter the resort it’s all a sight of tropical luxury. The garden is very well trimmed and landscaped and it features a fire pit and a raised bar. The resort has a lot of personality and it’s replete with bold wallpapers along with South African paintings, a library full of thick dense volumes of books, amongst other similarly arresting details. The hotel only accommodates a maximum of 16 guests at a time, and a resident butler is always at hand to tend to your needs, and as such the service is highly personalized and efficient.

Four Rosmead

Four Rosmead is another great luxury accommodation located on Oranjezicht, however this one is situated on the lower rungs of the slope of the peaceful suburb watching over the city below. It takes about 10 minutes to walk over to the city center, and there are several restaurants and bars within walking distance. However, it’s recommended that you avail of a taxi service if it’s late at night. The hotel is designed in a suite and elegant manner, and lots of interesting artworks from local artisans grace the walls of the common areas. You can even purchase the artworks if you so choose. One of the most relaxing and luxurious areas in the hotel is the public courtyard surrounded by dense tropical foliage with a small heated plunge pool in the center. The hotel hostess is always available to tend to any of your needs and make reservations. There are only eight rooms in the entire accommodation, and as such it’s really quite an intimate affair. Depending on the room you choose, you can enjoy a fireplace, or a private garden, a balcony, or even a courtyard. Breakfast is a part of the accommodation, however you have to make special requests for a lunch or dinner. The hotel isn’t ideal for families with small children as they might get quite restless, however if you just want a relaxing time away this is perfect. Some of the activities you can embark upon include going to the beach, going bicycling in a group, hiking through the mountainous regions, going sailing, amongst many others.

Cape Royale Luxury Hotel offers an extremely sophisticated and luxurious accommodation with an old European vibe in its aesthetic sensibilities. The lobbies and common areas in the hotel seem classic with marbled columns lining the hallways, however the suites are extremely contemporary and modernist with clean lines and minimalist decor. The suites come with fully-equipped kitchens with large granite countertops, and the living room features tinkling chandeliers. As such, all the suites are designed in such a manner that even though they’re luxurious they exude the sense of a high-end townhouse rather than a cold hotel room. The resort also bears all the modern hotel amenities that are necessary, such as a well appointed spa, several bars and restaurants, and a wellness center. One of the best features of the hotel is the rooftop pool deck which offers a stunning panoramic view of the city.
